Well Di showed up at the
Captain’s party about 10
minutes after I did. She said she
had been waiting in the Ovation
Theater for the raffle to take
place.
You could easily tell from her
comments that she hadn’t won.
I sort of laughed and said “Well did you notice whether or not Debbie
won?” I actually don’t recall how Diane reacted. If she said anything at
all, I know for sure it wasn’t “Yes”.
Some time passed and still Debbie hadn’t shown up for the party. We
just assumed she probably went back to the cabin for some reason
and would be along shortly. We were enjoying the party when all of a
sudden we saw her coming through the glitzy tunnel entrance to the
Liquid Nightclub shouting, “We won!
We won!”
Of course our initial reaction was a
sarcastic “Ha, ha … sure we did.” But it
didn’t take very long to realize she was
telling the truth. After she won she had
to go to the Guest Services office to fill
out some paperwork. That’s why she
got to the party quite a bit later than
Diane.
Needless to say we were all excited
about the results. Of course this wasn’t
