This particular meeting
with the Captain had
an interesting twist for
us. It was scheduled to
begin at 5 PM. Just a few
minutes before that time
I was sitting by myself
in the Ovation Theater
waiting for the “Win a
Free Cruise” raffle to take
place.
All of us at Fun Time Cruisers pool our resources to buy a lot of tickets
whenever this raffle is held. We have an agreement that if we ever win
we will apply the value of the prize toward booking a cruise for all four
of us. Since you have to be present to win, I was there to claim the
prize for our group if in fact we actually won.
The raffle was supposed to take place at 4:15 PM. But at 4:55 PM they
were still selling tickets. I was starting to get a little nervous about
missing out on the Captain’s cocktail party. That’s about the time that
another member of our staff, Debbie, came
and offered to take my place. So I handed
all the tickets to her and headed off to the
party.
Now you’ll notice in some of the pictures
accompanying this article that Storm‘n
Norm and Di were also there. That shouldn’t
come as any surprise if you listened to
