Ocean Plaza area early one morning. I noticed something going on at
the Taste Bar. When I checked it out closer I could see that they were
offering a rather extensive continental breakfast. It wasn’t just coffee
and pastries.
They had grits, oatmeal and lots of dry cereals. You could get hard
boiled eggs, regular toast, and even slices of French toast. There wasn’t
any bacon, but there were lots of sliced cheeses and cold meats.
Now if you’re wondering why we call it the “secret” breakfast bar,
it’s because no one hardly ever goes there. Every time I tried it out
there were typically less than a half dozen passengers eating there. I
don’t know why that is. Perhaps ... like in our case ... it’s because most
people don’t realize it’s there, and how much it has offer.
Sure you can’t get fresh made omelets, but if you want to save time
and avoid the crowds check it out next time you’re on the Breeze.
By the way, there are
“secret” breakfast
bars on several other
Carnival ships. And some
of those have an even
more extensive offering,
including scrambled
eggs.
We’ll have a report
about one such example
in the next issue of Fun
Time Cruisers digital
magazine.
